Oxford University Amateur Boxing Club is one of the oldest boxing clubs in the UK, founded in 1881. Each year the club members train and compete in a number of boxing shows and events, which culminate in our annual Varsity match against Cambridge.

Training Times
Update 28.01.2025
Because of Town vs Gown this weekend (01.02.25), Friday/Saturday/Sunday sessions are cancelled!! Today and Thursday's sessions are as normal. This means that this week's sessions are:

Tuesday, Main Hall 1730 - 1930
Thursday, Main Hall 1530 - 1700

Thurs, Main Hall 1530 - 1700 open session
Friday, GLD 1900 - 2030 INVITE ONLY
Saturday, GLD 0900 - 1030 men 1030 - 1200 women, INVITE ONLY
Sunday, Main Hall 0800 - 1000 open session

You are welcome to come to the open training sessions, even if you have no experience. There are also additional training sessions for more experienced members that are invite-only.
​
For training, please bring a skipping rope, hand wraps and water. Gloves can be borrowed, but if you start coming frequently you may also wish to invest in a pair of bag gloves. We recommend 14oz for men, 12oz for women. We sell hand wraps.
